SHS Tuesday Talks & Meetings

Come and learn about local history

Tuesday Talks

The SHS Tuesday Talks are a great way to learn about local history and meet others who share this passion. The meetings are open for everyone to enjoy – you needn’t be an SHS member to attend.

Talks are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month and are held at the Indian Trail Meeting Hall located on N. Moore Street next to the library.

Check the SHS Event Calendar for details on upcoming presentations.

If you have an idea for a Tuesday Talk topic or if you would like to be a speaker, please contact us.

General Membership Meetings

These pot-luck dinner meetings are held on the fourth Thursday night of March, May, and September and on the third Thursday night of November. Our annual reports meeting is held on the first Thursday in February with lunch at noon.  The meetings include an interesting history-related program, and we invite everyone to join us – members and non-members alike.

General meetings are held at the Southport Community Building. Check the SHS Event Calendar for details on upcoming meetings.

Your Southport Historical Society is committed to providing quality programs of interest to the membership at large.  Your feedback and ideas for future programs are welcome.
