Requirements for Historic House Plaque

1. Structure built by 1930

2. Copies of deeds from courthouse from original to present if possible

Copies of deeds from purchase back as far as possible to establish who owned the house originally, at least the earliest known owner.  The staff at Register of Deeds at the courthouse in Bolivia is very helpful. Be aware we DO NOT accept date of construction from tax records.

3. $100.00 check made out to Southport Historical Society
